Juice Crew in Bristol

The Queensbridge collective’s contribution to Hip Hop during the 80s was mammoth, with founding member and mastermind Marley Marl with original Juice Crew member, Mr Magic, using the collective as a platform to showcase young and exciting artists, such as the then little known Big Daddy Kane, now widely regarded as one of the greatest rappers of the 80s.

The Grammy Award-winning Big Daddy Kane will be joined on this very special UK tour by Kool G Rap, bringing his unique flow and rhymes, alongside the creative genius and veteran of the group, Masta Ace, plus MC Shan, battle rapper Craig G and the lady of the Juice Crew, singer, and rapper Roxanne Shanté.

From notorious beefs with other crews to infamous diss tracks and what can only be described as one the best posse cuts ever in the shape of ‘The Symphony’, the Juice Crew’s remarkable career defines the golden era of Hip Hop.

Their musical output continues to inspire numerous artists, with the most notable being Hip Hop heavyweight Nas, who hails from the same beginnings in Queens and has reworked some of the group’s iconic tracks such as ‘Da Bridge 2001’, which was an ode to the group's classic 1986 release, ‘The Bridge’.

Don’t miss the chance to witness six original Juice Crew artists reuniting for an unmissable celebration of old school Hip Hop this November.

Supporting the Juice Crew are Bristol’s very own Hip Hop collective, Split Prophets. In 2011 they came into prominence with their E.P. Scribbled Thoughts and in the years that followed, have gone from being an act to watch out for, to some of the UK’s most respected and revered emcees and producers with their ongoing releases and vidoes; including the well-known tracks such as ‘Ain’t Amused’, ‘2 Kids’ and their more recent releases, Weedmasons EP (2014) and the albums Delta Bravo Kilo (2016) and Lettermorphosis (2017). In 2012 the UK’s leading Hip Hop culture magazine, Wordplay, voted Split Prophets The Best Crew of The Year.
