The Lanes is one of Bristol’s best and quirkiest venues, home to some incredible club nights, perfectly curated live music, delicious food, a retro bowling alley, and an array of fine drinks. You can also book a room in the upstairs Rock ‘n’ Bowl Hostel, so if you're travelling to Bristol you can make this cosy central building your home!

Famed for their wide range of events tailored to fill the gaps that all the usual Bristol club nights leave empty, The Lanes always have a jam-packed schedule. Here are a few choice cuts from their lineup, from Halloween all the way up into Christmas.

Magic Wands - 6th November - £5-£8 - BOOK HERE

LA band Magic Wands tour Europe in support of their third album ‘Realms’, which is out soon. “Mixing elements of gothy post-punk and ethereal psych” – Brooklyn Vegan. They have been remixed by The XX and Crystal Fighters, and shared bills with The Kills, The Horrors, The Black Keys, etc. The dream pop duo from Nashville,Tennessee are back in the UK after 7 years. They are best known for their melodic, catchy tunes 'Black Magic', 'Kaleidoscope Hearts' and 'Teenage Love'. These songs off their 2012 debut album 'Aloha Moon' landed them playing live on BBC1 Radio.

 

Tusken EP Launch and Pop Punk Extravaganza - 3rd December - £5-£6 - BOOK HERE

Fat Lip UK presents a Sunday Funday Pop Punk extravaganza! Alongside Tuskens' 'Hung Up On Everything' EP Launch, 5 other bands will be playing: 
Coast to Coast, High Tides, Summoned By Ash, Seven Stories High, and STAY LATE. The First 30 ticket buyers will also get a free T Shirt and CD! 

 

DakhaBrakha - 4th December - £17 - BOOK HERE

DakhaBrakha is world music quartet from Kiev, Ukraine. Reflecting fundamental elements of sound and soul, Ukrainian “ethno-chaos” band DakhaBrakha, create a world of unexpected new music. The name DakhaBrakha is original, outstanding and authentic at the same time. It means “give/take” in the old Ukrainian language. Accompanied by Indian, Arabic, African, Russian and Australian traditional instrumentation, the quartet’s astonishingly powerful and uncompromising vocal range creates a trans-national sound rooted in Ukrainian culture.
