Acclaimed singer-songwriter Emily Barker will be playing Bristol's Folk House on Friday 3rd November as part of her UK tour throughout November and December 2017.

Emily Barker's album Sweet Kind of Blue was released in May 2017

Following the release of her album Sweet Kind of Blue back in May, Emily has announced shows in the US and Europe as well as her upcoming UK dates. Online tickets for the show are in short supply, so book now to avoid disappointment.

Sweet Kind of Blue has received glowing ratings from the music press since its' release, with The Times describing it as "heartfelt songwriting - bridging the gap between folk, country and Fleetwood Mac" and Q labelling it "ambitious and beautifully wrought".

The album features Sunrise, a single Barker wrote during a road trip while on tour in Sweden, influenced by natural surroundings of lakes, forest and long-lasting sunlight. "It's a song about escaping," she says. “And it seemed very fitting to record it in the USA with the national theme of the road-trip being such a feature in literature, music and popular culture throughout American history”. You can listen to Sunrise here.
