Comedy legend, Tim Vine comes to Bristol’s Redgrave Theatre with three nights of shows from 19-21 February 2018.

Expect a silly show full of new jokes, homemade props, and songs- this is comedy without a message but with a whole lot of nonsense and mindless giggles a plenty!

Best known for his role on the BBC series Not Going Out, Tim’s famous one liners and quick puns have marked him one of England’s most popular comedians.

Vine has written several joke books including The Biggest Ever Tim Vine Joke Book (2010) containing over 1,000 of his jokes and puns and The Not Quite Biggest Ever Tim Vine Joke Book (2011).

In 2010, and 2014 Vine won the funniest joke of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival which was “I’ve just been on a once-in-a-lifetime holiday. I’ll tell you what, never again.” And “I decided to sell my Hoover…well it was just collecting dust.”

Vine also broke the Guinness World Record for the most jokes told in an hour, with a whopping 499! He held the record for ten years. Most recently in September 2017, Vine featured in a pilot of the BBC1’s Comedy Playhouse series, called ‘Tim Vine Travels in Time’ which sees him teleport to the days of Robin Hood.

To celebrate the show at the Redgrave Theatre in Bristol, here are 5 of Tim Vine’s best jokes:

“I did a gig in a fertility clinic. I got a standing ovulation.”

“I said to the gym instructor: ‘Can you teach me to do the splits?’ He said: ‘How flexible are you? I said: ‘I can’t make Tuesdays.’”

“I’m so lazy I’ve got a smoke alarm with a snooze button.”

“You know, somebody actually complimented me on my driving today. They left a little note on the windscreen, it said ‘Parking Fine.’ So that was nice.”

“I went into a pet shop. I said, ‘Can I buy a goldfish?’ The guy said, ‘Do you want an aquarium?’ I said, ‘I don’t care what star sign it is.”
