Voyagers in the modern British rock scene, The Fratellis are coming to Bristol’s iconic O2 Academy on the 29th March, 2018.

The Scottish band was formed in 2005 consisting of three members; lead guitarist Jon Fratelli, bass guitarist, Barry Fratelli and drummer and vocalist Mince Fratelli. In true band-brother style, the guys had their last names changed as the same.

In the years that followed, the band released an impressive four albums in the space of eight years. Their first, “Costello Music” (2006) paved the way for the The Fratellis flagship sound. Chantalong, air-punching tracks delivered with a glamourous, retro-rock feel. Most will remember “Chelsea Dagger” and “Whistle for the Choir” as songs reminiscent of the last half of the decade. Always on the radio, the two songs were both top ten hits in the charts.

Following the album’s success, The Fratellis went on to tour the UK, support the likes of Kasabian, play at Glastonbury and headline other festivals such as NME’s Rock ‘n’ Riot tour.

The Band’s next albums were “Here We Stand” (2008), “We Need Medicine” (2013) and “Eyes Wide, Tongue Tied” (2015). “Here We Stand” put them on the state-side map, with the band playing a number of sold-out shows across the US. They have toured far and wide and will be blessing the stage of Bristol’s O2 Academy with all their sing-along, shout-along, songs.

The gig will take place a few weeks after the release of their new album, “In Your Own Sweet Time” which is out on the 9th of March, 2018.

Fratelli fans, expect to hear the band’s newest material performed live for the first time in Bristol, alongside their all-time indie rock classics.
