2017 Guide to Bristol fireworks displays

2017's Fireworks season is almost upon us, and Bristol welcomes a huge variety of events across the city with something for everyone. From a Footy and Fireworks evening at the Bristol Inn on Guy Fawkes night to a family-oriented event at Badock's Wood Primary School on 10th November, Bristol residents can be sure to find a great evening out without having to stray too far from their doorstep. Below is our guide to some of the best displays on offer this year:

Bristol's Millennium Square hosted a huge fireworks display last year to mark the opening of their seasonal Ice Rink

 

Downend Round Table Fireworks - Friday 3rd November, entry from 5.30pm ***RECOMMENDED EVENT***

Back in 2017 after a successful evening last year, the Downend Round Table Fireworks Display is run as a fundraising event for local charities. This year's display will be in aid of dementia research support charity BRACE and the local branch of Marie Curie. There will be a children's display at 6.30pm followed by the main display at 8pm. There are a number of different ticket options, including VIP and family tickets alongside £7 adult tickets and £5 for kids. Tickets can be purchased from the Downend Round Table website here.

Downend Round Table Fireworks Display - 3rd November 2017

Perry Court E-Act Academy - Friday 3rd November, entry from 4.30pm

Doors open at 4.30pm and display will be at 6pm. Tickets are £14 for family of 4 and single tickets are £6. Food and drink also available. The school is located on Great Hayles Road, Hengrove, Bristol, BS14 0AX. More info at www.perrycourtprimary.co.uk.

 

Canford Park Charity Fireworks Fiesta - Saturday 4th November, entry from 6pm

Both Bristol Round Table and Clifton Rotary Club have promised a mesmerising display this year, with what they believe to be Bristol's biggest pyrotechnics event coming to Canford Park in Westbury-on-Trym. Tickets can be bought in advance for £5, with physical tickets available at local branches of St. Peter's Hospice. The fireworks display is due to start at 7pm or shortly afterwards, with food and drink stalls offering up heartwarming treats in the mean time with a longer show scheduled than previous years. Trinity Centre Festival of Light - Sunday 5th November, entry from 6pm

The Trinity Centre's free annual Festival of Light is a truly unique fireworks display with a twist - certainly not one to be missed this year! The public is invited to join the team in the Trinity garden to warm your hands on the bonfire and enjoy a great range of food and drinks, before watching a performance from the amazing Invisible Circus and a great fireworks display. After the show, visitors are invited inside to watch music from the likes of Evil Usses and some resident DJs. Entry is free with a suggested donation of £2 upon entry.

 

St Ursula’s E-Act Academy Firework Night - Sunday 5th November, gates open 6pm.

Display Starts 7pm, £5 per ticket, under 3’s free. Please bear in mind there is no on-site parking! Tickets are on sale from CJ Hole in Westbury on Trym or CJ Hole Henleaze. They are in their 41st year so come and celebrate the 5th November alongside the academy with BBQ, Bar, Refreshments and Stalls! Please wear sensible footwear and no Sparklers or smoking on site. Avon Valley Adventure & Wildlife Park Fireworks to Music Spectacular - Saturday 4th November, entry from 5.30pm

The hugely popular Fireworks to Music Spectacular is back with a bang in 2017, with a funfair, food and drinks and a huge fireworks display from 7.15pm. Tickets for the evening start at £3.50 per person with family parking tickets also on offer, ranging from £15-£30. Bookings can be made via the Avon Valley Adventure & Wildlife Park website here.

Bristol Inn Footy & Fireworks Night - Sunday 5th November, entry from 4.30pm

Clevedon's Bristol Inn is hosting a joint event on Guy Fawkes Night - first showing live Premier League football in the form of Chelsea vs. Man United at 4.30pm, followed by a family food and fireworks event in the evening. With fantastic barbecue food, warming hot chocolate and free sparklers for children on offer, visitors can enjoy an eye-catching display later on in the evening. Entry for this one is free so bring the family round for a great day of football, food and fireworks!

 

Bristol Telephone Area Rugby Football Club Fireworks Display - Sunday 5th November, entry from 5.30pm

BTARFC are hosting their very popular Annual Firework Display on Sunday November 5th 2017 at BTRA Sports Ground, Stockwood Lane, Stockwood, BS14 8SJ.The gates open at 5:30pm with the firework display  at 7pm.Ticket are priced at Adults £6.00, Kids £3.00 and a Family ticket (2 adults + 2 kids) £15.00. There is a fully licenced bar and great BBQ food available

 

Victoria Park Bonfire Night 2017 - Sunday 5th November, entry from 5pm

Not strictly a firework event, Victoria Park's bonfire celebrations are an authentic way to mark the occasion. With an impressive bonfire a given every year at Victoria Park, visitors can also expect a great range of food and drink stalls on site as well as a 'Judge the Guy' competition. Attendees are encouraged to bring contributions to the fire - stressing that these must be wood only - to help make the evening as memorable as possible. Ticket information is not yet available but you can follow updates on the park's website.

 

Badock's Wood Primary School Buddies of Badock's Fireworks Night - Friday 10th November, entry from 4.30pm

Following last year's success, Badock's Wood Primary School is putting on another fireworks display, with proceeds going towards school renovations. The only event of its' kind in the Southmead area, tickets are available for £4 per person or £15 for a family ticket. Gates open at 4.30pm for food, drinks and entertainment before the 6pm display. Physical tickets are available from Badock's Wood Primary School between 3pm and 4pm on weekdays, or alternatively you can contact the school via email to enquire.
