All things ocean-related will be celebrated in spectacular style when Witness the Wild at Wildscreen makes a monumental splash in Bristol from Saturday 30th September to Thursday 26th October 2017.

Witness the Wild at Wildscreen in Bristol

That big blue wobbly thing does, in fact, cover more than 70 per cent of the Earth's surface - but for most of us who live in overpowering concrete jungles and materialistic suburban structures all too often overlook the creatures who dwell and swim in the fascinating blue watery depths.

A clear cut case of out of sight, out of mind, then, which really is no excuse and certainly not good enough taking into account half of the world's population lives within 100 kilometres of the sea.

So the end of this month and well into next, an impressive collection of artists, scientists, community groups, and wildlife filmmakers and photographers will be transforming those generally drab, concrete space eyesores into something much more mesmerising and enthralling. Plunge beneath the waves to find out how you can help conserve and protect those fascinating creatures of the sea.

Some of the key events taking place throughout the week include The Bearpit Transformation, BS5 Photography Trail, Film screenings at a thrilling variety of weird and wonderful locations, a Sea-stainable Supper, and Kids' Underwater Yoga.
