A Very Bristol Wine Supper at Spike Island Cafe on Friday 20th October 2017

Posted on: 02 Oct 2017

Wine aficionados in the city can look forward to a full-on slurping session when Spike Island Cafe presents its quaffably tantalizing night, The Mild Wild West: A Very Bristol Wine Supper on Friday 20th October 2017.

Spike Island Cafe hosts a must-see for Bristol wine aficionados on Friday 20th October

As the moniker suggests, the wines that have been selected have a distinctly West-inspired theme. So you can expect a fine selection of premium plonkage in the form of some of the tastiest, most palatable wines from South West France, North West Spain, Monmouth in Wales, a region of the Loire and Hereford. Westward Ho! indeed for an evening that will educate and inspire your appreciation of wine and galvanize your palate.

On hand to give you a guided tour through all these lip-smackingly grape-related indulgences will be Ben Llewelyn of Carte Blanche Wines; a man who knows a thing or two about the ins and outs of wine and wine making. He'll be around to impart his impeccable knowledge and expertise with a dizzyingly encyclopaedic knowledge that will leave your head spinning just as much as a few glasses of vino.

And where would good wine be with good food? Well, exactly, nowhere. Which is why those culinary wizards Matt and Claire of 5' O Clock Apron will be toiling away in the kitchen to prepare dishes that will consummately compliment the exciting range of wines being poured throughout the evening.

The imbibing will begin at 7pm. Tickets are £55 per person. To reserve your place contact @5oclockapron or call Spike Island on 0117 929 2266.
