Having been founded in 1950 as London Festival Ballet by English Dancers Alicia Markova and Anton Dolin, The English National Ballet is said to have played a major role in the growth and history of ballet in the UK.

This classic tale of star-crossed lovers is full of passion and excitement; this play has been described as having inventive choreography and it’s set to Prokofiev’s famous score which will be performed live by the English National Ballet Philharmonic.

Although this storyline which comes to a tragic end is extremely well known, the way that it is performed by this company is unique, memorable and beautiful.

To coincide with Romeo & Juliet, English National Ballet will host a range of workshops and events, aimed to provide a gateway into the world of ballet. Activities include on-stage dance workshops, Live Drawing, and behind-the-scenes talks for all ages.
