The clandestine network of Bristol’s secret bars has grown, conversely, to be well-known for the absolute quality of the drinks that they pour. Indeed, these ‘underground’ establishments like Hyde and Co., Red Light, Pata Negra, The Milk Thistle and Her Majesty’s Secret Service have each played a significant part in contributing to the healthy reputation of the city’s alcoholic output.

For some of Bristol's best cocktails, every day of the week, head to Flipside Cocktail Club on Whiteladies Road.

All of these bars will join forces under one roof for a one-night celebration at Brunel’s Old Station on Friday 15th September, hosted by Cocktails in the City. Featuring stalls from these and 11 other local establishments, the festival will also showcase cocktail-making sessions and mixing master-classes led by some of the leading lights in the industry.

Accompanying the liquid centrepieces will be an array of fine street food, served up by local traders, and music courtesy of esteemed disk jockeys.

Cocktails in the City will take place at Brunel’s Old Station between 6pm-11pm on the 15th September. Tickets, which include one cocktail, are £12 and available here.
