Where to watch the Lions in Bristol

Posted on: 07 Jul 2017

The British and Irish Lions have the chance to enter rugby folklore when they enter Eden Park tomorrow, with the series against New Zealand tied at 1-1. Here’s where to catch the action in Bristol.

British and Irish Lions

Despite a jittering start to their tour of New Zealand, which saw laboured victories over the Provincial Barbarians and unexpected defeats to the Auckland Blues and the Highlanders, Warren Gatland’s Lions enter the third of their three tests against the All Blacks only 80 minutes away from a famous, famous series victory.

Also standing between the men in red and rugby immortality are 15 behemoths in black, who came close to triumphing last Saturday in Wellington - despite being down a man for 65 minutes after Sonny Bill Williams’ dismissal. That match was the first that the All Blacks have lost at home since 2009, and will leave Steve Hansen’s men with retribution in their sights and revenge in their nostrils.

Warren Gatland

Still, Gatland’s poker face remains unconcerned, with the prodigal Kiwi naming an unchanged test side for the first time since 1993 as he aims to get one over the nation of his birth, who have sat atop the world rugby order for decades.

Whatever the result, there are sure to be fireworks. Here is where to catch them in Bristol:
