Wolf Alice to play show at Bristol’s O2 Academy

Posted on: 16 Jun 2017

The lupine world-beaters will stop over for an evening at the O2 Academy in Bristol on the 8th November as part of their massive UK tour this winter.

Wolf Alice

Wolf Alice blew the pants off indie rock back in 2015 when they released their debut LP My Love Is Cool to a rapturous reception. The album shot to number two in the UK album chart and was subsequently nominated for that year’s Mercury Prize, reflecting the both the commercial and critical infatuation with the record.

An amount of the band’s allure can be placed squarely on the shoulders of frontwoman Ellie Rowsell, who can switch her voice between a delicate falsetto and a booming roar quicker as quick as a hiccup, resulting in songs which are exquisite in their range. These are propelled into being by the super-tight trio of Joff Oddie, Theo Ellis and Joel Amey, on guitar, bass and drums respectively.

Having basked in the glow of the album since its release, with two extensive festival seasons, Wolf Alice have announced the details of follow-up Visions of a Life - and an extensive UK tour in support of this in November. As part of this, the band will be hitting up Bristol’s O2 Academy, for their biggest show in the city to date, on the 8th of the month.

Wolf Alice play the O2 Academy Bristol on Wednesday 8th November. Tickets will set you back £21.90 (including booking fee) and are available here.
