Spike Island Café welcomes you to join their risotto cookery demo and dinner on Friday 26th May between 19:00 – 22:30. Spike Island Café is renowned in Bristol for producing amazing food and this is your chance to head on down and see exactly how you can emulate this.

Risotto cookery class and three course meal at Spike Island Cafe

The mysteries of this simple ingredient transformed into food of the gods unravelled before your eyes. The third in Spike Islands series of collaborations with Square Food Foundation during evening you will look at one of the most versatile of ingredients.

 

Risotto is all about a good stock and the capacity to just stand and stir the rice with a glass of wine for about 35 minutes. So sit back, relax and let the guys take you through all the essential steps of making a risotto which will take the dish from risotto to risottOHHH!

 

The evening will start with a food demo, followed by a 3-course meal of:

Anti-pasti of Aubergines, chicken livers and arancini.

Risotto alla Milanese or Risotto with purple sprouting, beetroot and pecorino.

Pannacotta with Yorkshire Rhubarb.
