In support of their new album ‘Truth is a Beautiful Thing’, 2013’s breakout stars London Grammar have announced plans to return to Bristol this autumn. Bringing with them their electronic-pop sound, they will be looking to perpetuate their already-established reputation of putting on highly emotive shows by doing the same at Colston Hall on Friday 27th October.

For those who may not know, London Grammar, signed to Ministry of Sound in 2012, are a trio who play electronic-pop with clear progressive rock and hip-hop influences. Their debut album If You Wait was released in February 2013, reaching number 2 in the UK and 91 on the Billboard 200 in the US, with 2014 the year when London Grammar were the must-see act of the festival season.

Fronted by Hannah Reid, the vocal melodies sound just as good live as they do on record, with the singer possessing one of the best voices currently out there. She is flanked by guitarist Dan Rothman and multi-instrumentalist Dominic Major, whose specialties include keyboard and drums. As a collective they are unlike anything around at the moment, bringing their unique ambience wherever they play, with their 2014 Bestival set notoriously bringing a tear to many of the audience.

Following the success of their first album, the band ended up playing all over the world, including Glastonbury, Montreux Jazz Festival and Lollapalooza, but recently have been back in the studio to record their sophomore album Truth is a Beautiful Thing which is to be released on 9th June 2017, with the singles released receiving positive feedback. In support of the album the band are embarking on a UK tour, including dates in London and Manchester, with a stop in Bristol’s Colston Hall scheduled on 27th October 2017 – an upgrade from their previous sold out show at the O2 Academy.
