Posted on: 26 Apr 2017

Your band could win the chance to play on the main stage at this year’s Grillstock Festival by proving your mettle in a battle of the bands. Entry closes on the 12th May.

Grillstock Festival

The line-up for this year’s Grillstock Festival is an impressive one, boasting the likes of Craig Charles (below), The Darkness and The Pharcyde, but it is not yet complete. There is still a spot on the bill for the winner of the festival’s battle of the bands, which is currently accepting applications.

The festival is offering the chance for a local band to rub shoulders with the aforementioned esteemed company, as the main prize of this musical contest is a one hour slot on the main stage, opening the festival’s musical programme.

Also included in the prize is professional photography and video footage of your set for use afterwards, £250 cash towards travel & accommodation expenses, listing on Grillstock website and festival guide and 12 pairs of weekend tickets to the festival to give away.

If this sounds good to you, here’s what to do next:

They’ll choose their favourite bands

On 19th May, the shortlist will be posted on the Grillstock website for members of the public to judge

The band with the most votes gets to open the main stage at Grillstock 2017, with the winner announced on 9th June
