Exultate Singers Collaboration at Bristol’s Colston Hall Saturday 24th June

Having played over 150 outstanding performances and concerts throughout the UK Exultate Singers have promised that this show will have quite a different feel to it. The combination of the choirs makes up a chorus of around 140, plus the orchestra, which is on the scale of a symphony orchestra.

Deemed one of the greatest pieces ever written for chorus and orchestra, The Dream of Gerontius is Elgar’s masterpiece about life, death and one man’s journey into the afterlife. On a grand scale, the music vividly describes moments of exhilaration and terror, as flights of angels sing ecstatic choruses of praise.

Exultate Singers are made up of 45 very professional and practiced singers who are all Bristol based. The choir has performed on BBC One’s Songs of Praise and The One Show, on Classic FM and on BBC Radio in broadcasts on Radios 2, 3 and 4 and the World Service. In 2012 Exultate Singers was selected by the BBC to represent the UK in the semi-finals of the European choral competition, Let The Peoples Sing. This combined with City of Bristol Choir and Bristol Ensemble can only strengthen an already amazing choir.

An amazing opportunity to hear a unique blend of choirs

With comments such as "Exultate produced a purity of sound worthy of King's College, Cambridge" from The Guardian and "This imaginatively programmed disc marks the Exultate Singers out as a choir to be reckoned with." by BBC Music Magazine, it is very easy to see just why everyone love Exultate.
