Bristol Easter Beer Fest at The Volunteer Tavern

Posted on: 28 Mar 2017

Mark the Easter weekend with one (or perhaps more) of the huge variety of drinks at The Easter Beer Fest at the superb Volunteer Tavern in Bristol. Food and live entertainment will also be on hand throughout the festivities this Friday 14th til Sunday 16th April.

The CAMRA Pub of the Year 2016 will be offering more than 30 ales and ciders over the course of the festivities. What better excuse to visit The Volunteer Tavern in Bristol. Nothing like your average ‘beer festival’ which normally involves a few guest ales behind the bar, this is a true exhibition of the craft and a great event to boot. Naturally, entry is free.

If you've never visited The Volunteer Tavern then make this festival an excuse to check it out. It is the epitome of thinking and acting local. You will find the walls adorned with work from the Bristol artist Laura Cramer, their meat is supplied from the region including sausages from JD Brittans - the oldest independent pork butchers in Bristol - and are always pulling pints from local Real Ales brewers such as Wiper and True, Wickwar Brewery, Arbor Ales and the Bristol Beer Factory amongst many more.

So what more do you want? Great drinks, superb food, a true festival atmosphere and all set in a wonderful location like The Volunteer Tavern. Go on, get down there and see what the fuss is all about.

For further info be sure to check out their website and Facebook page. For updates, as the full itinerary is yet to be 100% confirmed, join the Facebook event. If it's half as good as their previous festivals you'll be in for a treat so fear not! The Volunteer Tavern is located at: 9 New Street, St Judes, Bristol, BS2 9DX.
