Men of Bristol: get yourself to ‘Manlates’ at Bubalu
Posted on: 28 Feb 2017The fitness centre on the Gloucester Road offer a male-only Pilates class, whose MANtra is getting blokes off their sofas by making them feel more comfortable in their exercise.
Gyms can often feel like slightly intimidating places for the casual exerciser, which can therefore constitute an excuse to not visit as much as they should. Bubalu are calling BS on this though and giving credence to their claim through Manlates, a no-nonsense, male-only gym class which takes place on a Saturday morning.
The Manlates MANifesto is as follows:
- No lycra
- No curry or real ale the night before
- Must have rubbish jokes
- Must want to have a laugh
- Must like Dad Rock
The hour-long class costs £6.50 and takes place at 9am on Saturdays. It is just one example of the many sessions offered at the gym; the whole programme can be viewed below.
