Do some spring greening at The Green Man in Bristol

The renown for the food at the Kingsdown boozer has grown to legendary levels, with superb Sunday roasts and the Bear Grillz boys on hand to ensure that they offer much more than their titular greens.

Green Man

Now that Spring is on the turn and the green is returning to the trees, it seems only fitting to pay a visit to The Green Man, the pub tucked away off the Kingsdown Parade that is anything but deciduous.

All year round, the evergreen public house serves food almost as good as its excellent drink - they, at present, have 102 bottles of gin behind the counter and always have six real ales on cask. Food is overseen by the Bear Grillz Boys, who flip a mean burger and serve up a mean roast - though you’ll want to book in for the latter as the word is well and truly out.

Housed in a Grade II listed building, The Green Man is a Dawkins Ales venue with all the warm, comforting charm of a country boozer. The homely, welcoming ambience created by the wood panel decor is also enhanced by the quirky additions of cool, kitsch memorabilia dotted around the place including film posters and stacks of board games for a quieter moment.
