The incredibly talented English painter Sir Stanley Spencer’s experimental work will be on display at the school and everyone is welcome. Tickets start from only £10 and this includes refreshments at the event. At 7.30pm guest speaker Chrissy Rosenthal from The Stanley Spencer Gallery, in Cookham, will be giving a talk about his work and some of the private pieces in the exhibition.

This exhibition is perfect for anyone with a love of art, especially that of the stylistic, experimental and Post-Impressionist persuasion. This also a great exhibition in that it showcases an iconic figure in Britain’s artistic heritage. The event promises to be both educational and fun for everyone.

Badminton School is an independent day and boarding school for girls aged 3 – 18 years. Its location in Westbury-on-Trym on the leafy outskirts of Bristol provides all the amenities and opportunities of a diverse city, mixed with the green open space of the surrounding areas.

The School consistently achieves impressive academic results, which enables the girls to access a wealth of world-class universities, Music Conservatoires and Art Colleges. Badminton has a holistic approach to learning and girls are encouraged to develop as individuals, to pursue their own interests and expand and explore their ambitions, both in their academic work and co-curricular activities.

The aim at Badminton is to encourage the girls to become curious, confident and enthusiastic learners within a community that is supportive, friendly and fun. So we have to advise coming down to view the private collection and making sure you get a peak while you can!
