There's no Hasselhof in sight but Bristol Nightrider is back in 2017 following the success of last year's event. Bristol is the UK's first cycling city and there is no escaping the Bristol hills but it makes for a tough, and fun, challenge.

Jessica the puppy - a resident at Bristol Cats and Dogs Home - has begun her training for Nightrider Bristol, could you join the team and help her along her way? This unique 50km or 100km bike ride through our amazing city on the night of Saturday 1 July 2017 will be an amazing way to take in all the major landmarks, and you even get to cycle over the Clifton Suspension Bridge!

Full support, back up and regular break stops are provided throughout the night and a well-earned breakfast and medal at the finish.

There is a £39 registration fee and a £175 minimum fundraising target, which, with their one-to-one fundraising advice, you will be assured of smashing out of the park! If you would like more information please head to www.rspca-bristol.org.uk/events, email grace@rspca-bristol.org.uk or call 0117 980 3901

That's not all you can do to help. If you're not a fan of two wheels but still love those with four legs you can help out with some of the great projects and ongoing work done at the centre itself, their charity shop in Bedminster and even walk the dogs! There are a number of ways that you can join the PAWsome team that do such great work - if you have any questions about what roles are on offer and how you can help please call 0117 977 6043 or email info@rspca-bristol.org.uk

Bristol Dogs and Cats Home

The Bristol and District RSPCA branch is a local charity, independent from the national charity, and provides services to the local community. It is a wonderful and truly vital service we should be rightly proud of in our city. It takes upwards of £1.7million per year to keep the Bristol Cats & Dogs home open and caring for all the pups and other guys that need a little extra help from us humans. All this comes from donations. An astounding amount of money but one that is raised each and every year thanks to the incredible work put in by the staff and numerous volunteers. They aim to rehome all their ‘tenants’ and care greatly for them in the meantime.
