Sheridan Smith in Funny Girl at Bristol Hippodrome | 21st-25th March
Posted on: 14 Feb 2017Olivier Award-wining actress Sheridan Smith will be heading to Bristol Hippodrome to front the new production of Funny Girl from 21st-25th March 2017 following a record breaking, critically praised West End run.
Funny Girl has received global recognition, as it did with Barbra Streisand 50 years ago, boasting some of the most iconic songs in film and theatre history, including People and Don’t Rain On My Parade. More than 50 years later this ‘exhilarating embrace of production’ (The Independent) tours the country after wowing audiences and critics alike in London’s West End.
This iconic musical tells the story of Fanny Brice (Sheridan Smith), whose vocal talents and comedic ability see her rise from Brooklyn music hall singer to Broadway star.
"Sheridan Smith is hilarious, glorious, touching. She carries us through everything with a performance that is all-singing, all dancing, all-joking and, somehow, all-soul too. An unforgettable star turn." The Times
Shows begin at 7:30pm each night with matinees at 2:30pm on the Thursday and Saturday. Tickets range from £18 to £60.50 and are available to purchase here.
