Evita at The Bristol Hippodrome

Following its smash hit run at London’s Dominion Theatre this show is bound to thrill audiences in Bristol and with lyrics by Tim Rice and music by Andrew Lloyd Webber you can see just why everyone is so excited by the prospect of this musical. The show will run from Tuesday 14 – Saturday 18 February at 7.30pm with matinees on Wednesday and Saturday at 2.30pm.

Starring two of musical theatre’s most outstanding leading performers; the wickedly talented Emma Hatton, fresh from playing Elphaba in the West End production of Wicked and embarking on his first UK tour having played the title role in Disney’s production of Tarzan, Gian Marco Schiaretti.

Telling the story of Eva Peron, wife of former Argentine dictator Juan Peron, Evita follows Eva’s journey from humble beginnings through to extraordinary wealth, power and iconic status which ultimately lead her to be heralded as the ‘spiritual leader of the nation’ by the Argentine people.

With more than 20 major awards to its credit, and an Oscar winning film version starring Madonna and Antonio Banderas, Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Evita is iconic. Featuring some of the best loved songs in musical theatre, including Don’t Cry for Me Argentina, On This Night of a Thousand Stars, You Must Love Me, and Another Suitcase in Another Hall, this spectacular production promises to be one of the theatrical events of the year in Bristol.

Tickets are available here from £17.90 and concessions are available at certain performances. For more information on the musical and other upcoming shows you can visit www.atgtickets.com
