The Circus of Horrors at The Bristol Hippodrome on 10 January 2017

Celebrating its 21st anniversary in suitably unsettling macabre style, the brand new, revamped show is entitled The Never-ending Nightmare. Cue the usual weird and wonderful mix of beautiful, brave and occasionally bonkers acts fused within a Alice in Horrorland premise, all played out against a blaring sonic background and with its forked tongue firmly in its subversive cheek.

Every year, the Circus of Horrors wows stunned and gobsmacked crowds in over 100 UK theatres, and has expanded to incorporate shows around the world including The Fuji Rock Festival in Japan, the Wacken Festival in Germany, an astonishing 10 nights at London's O2, and terror-tastic shows in Holland, Argentina, Italy, France, Moscow, Ireland and Finland.

The circus's gory genesis began at the 1995 Glastonbury Festival and, after reaching the finals of Britain's Got Talent and being the first circus to perform in London's West End for over 100 years, the Circus of Horrors has since made appearances on The X Factor, Daybreak, Who Wants to be a Millionaire, Body Shockers, Ant & Dec and even a Royal Command Performance. They've even performed alongside the likes of legendary musicians Alice Cooper, Eminem, Iron Maiden, Oasis and Foo Fighters.

Due to the sometime grisly, intense nature of the show it's recommended for ages 16+, but this is one brilliant, hysterical, outrageously macabre show full of death-defying feats and deliciously debauched acts that make it one of the most unforgettable theatrical nights out you'll ever have.

Tickets are £18.75 and can be purchased online here.

Bristol Hippodrome is located at St Augustine's Parade, Bristol, BS1 4UZ.  Tel. 0117 302 3310
