Afterglow returns to The Doghouse for another amazing night - Saturday 17th December 2016

Posted on: 15 Dec 2016

Afterglow, the eclectic mix of music, returns to The Doghouse to once again provide Bristol with one of its best Saturday nights. Whether it’s funk, soul, disco, house, garage or drum and bass, you won't hear the same theme all night this Saturday 17th December 2017.

As the name suggests, the intent of the night is to induce a feeling of warmth and euphoria in all who attend thanks to a one-two combo of music and surroundings...and a few extra-special drinks thrown in. The DJs are encouraged to 'feel' what they are playing and that comes across in the quality of the end-product. Mix that with drinks that would make a West End cocktail bar blush and you have the recipe for a perfect Saturday night. It kicks off at 9pm and runs long into Sunday morning - 4am to be exact.

If you simply prefer to kick back with a beer, that's fine too. From premium domestics draft beer, to craft bottles, hopheads need not fear. The easiest way of putting it is to let The Doghouse speak for themselves:

"We are outlaws till the bitter end. Unbound from any notion of trends or theme, we exist within a style of our very own. Within the arched stonework of this ancient part of Old Bristol, we can be whatever you need us to be, because we are restricted by nothing. If you want to sit and enjoy a quiet drink, you can. If you want to take heel and cut shapes to an incredible selection of music, of diverse styles, then you can. Or, if you simply want to crack wise with the tenders and slug whiskey, that's fine as well."

For more info please check out the Facebook Event. The Doghouse is located at: 12 St Stephens Street, Bristol, BS1 1EL.
