Susan Calman - Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th February

Following a total sell-out Fringe run before the Fringe had even started,  swiftly followed by a sell-out two-week run at London’s Soho Theatre, one of Scotland’s and Radio 4’s most beloved comedians is ready to rip through all preconceptions of her once and for all as she tours her newest show The Calman Before the Storm.

Be prepared; there’s a storm coming, and it’s in the form of a tiny lady with nothing to lose. Susan is set to set the record straight, to give it to the man (whoever he is). She is constantly referred to as very Radio 4 (see above) yet, working out the percentage of airtime she actually gets on the station she is, in fact, not on the station enough. She is thought of as polite, well-mannered, yet she has been known to swear.  She is on CBBC a lot and children love her, yet her 4 year old niece is the most terrifying human being she can imagine. She also challenges assumptions about her political stance, her height, her nationality and her sexuality.

Josie Long - Sunday 26th February

Following the international sell-out success of her previous show Cara Josephine across the UK, Europe, in Australia and New York, the star of BBC Radio 4’s Romance and Adventure, All of the Planet’s Wonders and presenter of Short Cuts tours her eighth solo stand-up show nationwide in 2017.

Josie’s 34. She thought by now that she would have children, and be in love, and have a country that didn’t vote with the far right parties to march us all off a cliff. And that she would be able to do all the awesome stuff that activists do. She thought we would have won by now. Oh, and she wanted to be taller and better looking. This is a show about optimism and hopefulness, about looking for people and finding things to look up to.
