Bristol's longest-running rock night, Gen_X, has made a triumphant, head-thrashing return to the city every Friday, with the next one taking place this Friday 30 September 2016.

Held in The Trap - previously known as The Cavern Club under The Crown pub in St Nick's Market - the night sees a weekly full-on assault to the senses pumping out all the best alternative, rock, pop-punk and indie anthems known to humanity.

Entry is free before 11pm and £3 after and there's a great range of ciders, ales and spirits to keep those whistles satisfyingly whetted, as well as plenty of drinks promos going on throughout the night.

What better way to wind down after a long, hard week than moshing it up and partying hard to some of the best rock tunes on the planet?

For more info, head to the Gen_X Facebook page, where you can also submit any song requests if there are any particular tunes you want to hear on the night.
