Singer-songwriter David Gray released his first studio album, ‘A Century Ends’, in 1993, but it was the re-release in 2000 of his 1998 album ‘White Ladder’ that received critical acclaim and granted him worldwide recognition. ‘White Ladder’ featured Gray’s smash hit single, ‘Babylon’, as well as ‘Please Forgive Me’, ‘Sail Away’, and ‘This Year’s Love’. ‘White Ladder’ and follow-up albums, ‘A New Day at Midnight’ and ‘Life in Slow Motion’ topped the UK Album Chart.

Since coming out of a three-year hiatus in 2005, Gray has released three albums of new material, a Greatest Hits album, and a compilation CD of live covers, and continued to tour worldwide. Despite his huge success to date, Gray has commented, “I’m as mystified now as when I started. I’m no closer to understanding the difference between the ingredients of a really great song and a mediocre one”.

Despite such variance in both the content and reception of his prior output, the only certainty David had at the commencement of his new recording was the need to surprise himself, not just in terms of how he worked, but the ideas that drove him and the people he worked with.

This is gig will be the perfect way to get your Christmas off to a flying start. The performance will is on Sunday 18th December at 19:00. Tickets start from as little as £43.00.
