Autumn Beer Festival and 5th Birthday Celebration at The Volunteer Tavern in BristolPosted on: 17 Sep 2016
The Volunteer Tavern - recently named CAMRA 2016 Pub of the Year - will be celebrating its 5th birthday in style from 16th until 19th September with their now legendary Beerfest! Expect great food, drink and live music.
With more than 30 ales and ciders set to be on offer over the course of the festivities, what better excuse to visit The Volunteer Tavern in Bristol. Nothing like your average ‘beer festival’ which normally involves a few guest ales behind the bar, this is a true exhibition of the craft and a great event to boot. The excellent food on offer always goes down a treat and means you can either pop in for a quick drink and a bite to eat, or just spend your whole day or evening there in great company.
The Volunteer Tavern is the epitomy of Thinking and Acting Local. You will find the walls adorned with work from the Bristol artist Laura Cramer, their meat is supplied from the region including sausages from JD Brittans, the oldest independent pork butchers in Bristol and are always pulling pints from local Real Ales brewers such as Wiper and True, Wickwar Brewery, Arbor Ales and the Bristol Beer Factory amongst many more.
For further info be sure to check out their website and Facebook page. If it's half as good as their previous festivals you'll be in for a treat! The Volunteer Tavern is located at: 9 New Street, St Judes, Bristol, BS2 9DX.
