Phoenix Cafe at the Pithay Studios in Bristol will be throwing open its doors for another afternoon of talented, colourful and downright delightful performers with its Milky Moon Busking Matinee on Sunday 11 September 2016.

Assembling everyone to "absorb the minds and hearts of fellow humans", from 12 noon until 3pm people with a penchant for performing will be able to take centre stage and strum their musical - or for that matter, non-musical -stuff, from novices to professionals and those who dangle breezily somewhere in between.

Whether you've penned a tune you'd like to share or have concocted something a little more off-kilter and bizarre, all the performers will be treated to plenty of delicious food as a reward for their artistic endeavors. Hot drinks, coffee, smoothies, iced drinks, cakes and vegan dinners will all be available throughout the afternoon for your delectation and ultimate sustenance.

Independent retailers and craft makers are also being encouraged to display and sell their wares at the always-popular mini-market while the masses are merrily entertained for a few hours.

A marvelous and spirited fusion of like-minded creatives who just want to share the love, the music, the art, the spoken word and just the simple fact of spending a few hours on a Saturday afternoon mellowing to sultry strains and quirky encounters and anything else that might happen.

Entry is free, although a "mysterious magic hat" will be passed around the appreciative audience for donations and everything collected will be divided among the talented troupe of busking performers.

If you're interested in taking part and want to reserve a spot (although you can turn up to riff on something impromptu on the day if you prefer) then get in touch with Milky Moon through its Facebook page. You can find out more about Phoenix, the centre's creative arts hub, on their Facebook page.
