Bristol Zoo Gardens is offering children in the city the fantastic opportunity to become the future next generation conservationists with its Zoo Conservation Academy on Tuesday 23rd and Wednesday 24th August 2016.

The two-day academy is the perfect starting point for the city's youngsters who have a true interest in animals and wildlife conservation to find out from experts on how to work with wildlife and how to go about protecting it.

Part of the programme will include activities such as designing an enclosure, how to manage animals' health, what it takes to be a great animal keeper, why the zoo studies animals in the wild, and the best way they can go about getting involved with protecting endangered species.

Aimed at children between 8 and 12 years, the Zoo Conservation Academy two-day course costs £100 per child.

You can book by calling Louise or Nicky on 0117 9747369 or email education@bristolzoo.org.uk if you want to know a bit more about the event.
