Roald Dahl film season at The Watershed in Bristol - August 2016

Posted on: 15 Aug 2016

Stock up on your snozzberries and keep a close eye on those Oompa Loompas - all throughout August the Watershed in Bristol is hosting a fabulous family season of Roald Dahl films.

Celebrating the centenary year of the legendary children's author, you'll have a truly scrumdiddlyumptious time reveling in Dahl's wild, imaginative stories which have been transferred from printed page to silver screen.

From the quirky, surreal cult classic Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory starring the inimitable Gene Wilder as the eccentric chocolatier, to the dark and terrifying machinations of The Witches, through to this year's Steven Spielberg version of the enchanting The BFG, it's a cinematic rollercoaster through the mind of one of children's literature's most iconic and influential authors.

Whatever age human bean you are, Watershed's Roald Dahl on Film season - which runs until Thursday 1 September - will entertain, delight, chill and thrill you in equal measure.

In addition to the screenings of immortal Dahl cinematic gems, there will also be a range of free family activities taking place in the Watershed's Book Den in the Cafe/Bar which will include costume making, reading, crafting, chocolate illustration and finger puppets.

Tickets for the films are £6.50 for adults and £4.50 for children.
