Horse World, Bristol, Open Rehabilitation Day, 20 Aug 2016

Posted on: 11 Jul 2016

Once again for all lovers of animals both big and small, Horse World, Bristol, are back again hosting yet another FREE open day for the public to come along to on 20 August 2016. Come and see how their rehabilitation training of adopted animals works within their yard at Keynes Farm, Whitchurch.

This Open Day focuses mainly on our rehabilitation work and is a great opportunity to see what goes on at Horse World's welfare department. This yard is not normally open to the public and while the event is free, you are advised to pop in a donation of your own choosing in one of the many buckets around the yard, to keep up the amazing work of the charity.

Those who are luck enough adopt Horse World animals will be able to see them and see the amazing work the charity does in helping them live happy and healthy lives. There will be set talks and tours throughout the day including a tractor safari for everyone to get to see all of the animals around the grounds. For more information on the adoption process or for info on the rehabilitation work please visit www.horseworld.org.uk.

If you don't already adopt an animal, there will be the opportunity to do so. This is a day that is open to everyone including children and disabled (There is just one walking tour that is not suitable for wheelchairs or buggies but everything else is easily accessible).

Unfortunately there cannot be any dogs at the open day, except guide and assistance dogs. This is because many of the rescued ponies in the yard that day have not completed their rehabilitation yet and are not used to being around dogs so may become distraught.

This is a must attend event for any lover of animals. Lasting from 10:30am -4.00pm, 20th August 2016 at Keynes Farm, Horse Worlds Welfare Department, Bristol, BS14 0QL.

If you would like any more information on the event feel free to contact Amy Williams on 01275 832425 or email info@horseworld.org.uk.

You can also keep up to date with them via Facebook and Twitter.
