Less Than Jake headline Fireball - Fuelling The Fire Tour 2016 at Bristol O2 Academy

Posted on: 31 May 2016

Florida’s most merry of punks Less Than Jake top the bill at the inaugural Fuelling The Fire Tour on Monday 3 October 2016 at Bristol’s O2 Academy. Tickets are now on sale.

Featuring some of the best live bands the international punk scene has to offer, the inaugural Fireball – Fuelling The Fire Tour is a celebration of punk rock, ska, reggae and roots music. Florida ska-punk pioneers Less Than Jake headline the tour, which will also feature British reggae torchbearers The Skints and Los Angeles amigos Mariachi El Bronx, the Mexican-flavoured side-project of hardcore punks The Bronx.

The fast paced ska-punk of Less Than Jake is unmistakable. For over twenty years Chris DeMakes, Roger Lima and their band of merry punks have been churning out saxophone and trombone fuelled party starters to a baying fan base. Even with the members aging around 40 these days, their energy is greater than ever. The albums Losing Streak and Hello Rockview set them on their way in the mid-late nineties and they haven’t looked back.

All My Best Friends Are Metalheads, Johnny Quest Thinks We're Sellouts and History Of A Boring Town will get the circle pit rolling for sure. A LTJ gig is as much about the fun and experience of the evening as it is about belting out the choruses beside the other assembled guests, ranging in age from 15 to 50.

Quite bafflingly - but don’t complain - tickets for this event are just £10. You can get hold of them through the O2 Academy website’s event page. Naturally, with a line-up like this and prices so low it’s going to be a sell-out so don’t delay.
