Baker - who was born in Bristol and has won two BAFTAs for his work - also invented the Time Lord's famous companion K-9, but his output hasn't just been restricted to all things Whovian. He has also written episodes for the TV shows Bergerac and Shoestring, acted as an HTV script editor for a few years, and written for various cult fantasy series including King of the Castle and Into the Labyrinth.

His Bristol connections extend to co-writing the Wallace and Gromit shorts and the movie, Curse of the Were-Rabbit. The talk will be followed by a Q&A session after which he'll talk to members of the audience and sign autographs.

Advance tickets are £10 for general admission and £8 concessions and can be purchased at cinemescript.eventbrite.co.uk. The Hen and Chicken is located at: 210 North Street Bedminster, Bristol BS3 1JF
