White Christmas for Bristol - odds at 5/1

Posted on: 23 Dec 2013

Bookmakers William Hill are currently offering 5/1 odds that Bristol will see a white Christmas this year.

National weather forecasters are predicting that much of the country could see snow in the coming week. Although blankets of snow are not expected there is speculation that some cities could see flurries and a light coating.

A Met Office spokesman has said that "Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, we are expecting it to turn colder and less windy, so there is a chance that some places may see a White Christmas."

The odds being offered for other cities seeing snow on Christmas Day are Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow 2/1, Manchester 4/1 with Birmingham, Liverpool and London at 5/1.

The last time snow fell in the UK at Christmas was 2010.
