Performing songs from the album Legend we were treated to classics such as ?No Woman No Cry?; ?I Shot The Sherriff? and my favourite for the evening ?Punky Reggae Party?, It really doesn?t get much better than this.

What a Night! The crowd was absolutely buzzing with anticipation to hear the band that brought reggae to the attention of the world.

The sole remaining member of the original band is bassist Aston “Family Man” Barrett. Barrett, who provided most of the bass for Marley’s hits and co-produced his albums, was looking regal in red, gold and green and did not disappoint with the heavy bass reverberating around the packed O2 Academy Bristol venue.

The audience was a pure mix of young and old, creeds and colours and sang along like an extra member of the band. All the words were known and it really created a fantastic atmosphere inside.

Performing songs from the album Legend we were treated to classics such as ‘No Woman No Cry’; ‘I Shot The Sherriff’ and my favourite for the evening ‘Punky Reggae Party’, It really doesn’t get much better than this.

For the encore we got an acoustic version of ‘Redemption Song’, followed by another favourite of mine and many others ‘Simmer Down’ and to finish off, Exodus. WOW is all I can say, this was the best gig I have been to all year!

5/5
