Audience participation was a major factor from start to finish and possibly my favourite element. Even the interval was entertaining. The famous finale was unlike anything I’d ever witnessed and urge anyone to go purely to witness it.

I had heard so many conflicting thoughts on Slava’s Snow Show previously, that I just had to come and see it for myself. Created almost 25 years ago by Slava Polunin, it’s fair to say it’s gained quite a respected following. It's being shown until Saturday 2nd December and you can pick up some of the remaining tickets online here.

Slava's Snow Show at The Bristol Hippodrome

This was my daughters first trip to the Hippodrome and at 5 years old, I felt it was the perfect time to introduce her to the theatre. I was advised that the show was aimed at those 8 years upwards and was slightly hesitant that she’d enjoy it but it was safe to say she loved every second!

Unlike the slapstick, garish names suggests, Slavas clowns are gentle and slow paced. With beautiful, timed choreography and subtle comedy, each scene captures the audience imagination and at times got quite emotional.

Audience participation was a major factor from start to finish and possibly my favourite element. Even the interval was entertaining and I was sad I left my seat for too long. The famous finale was unlike anything I’d ever witnessed and urge anyone to go purely to witness it.
