What Pranj's does is offer simple pub grub done extremely competently and well, and with food as good and undeniably filling as this you'll definitely want to go back for more.

Pranj's Bar on Corn Street in Bristol is one of the premiere bars to head to if you're looking for a fantastic night out - and things have got even more appetizing with the launch of its new, exciting and really rather delicious menu.

The lively sports bar has already made a name for itself for offering some of the best entertainment for the city's party-going revellers. There are two bars which boast an impressive range of beers, wines and a thirst-quenching 120 spirits, as well as a special bar dedicated to exclusively mixing your favourite cocktail combinations.

To say that Pranj's caters for practically everyone's idea of a sensational night out in Bristol is something of an understatement. For sports fans the venue shows all the major sporting events - including International Rugby, Formula 1, Cricket and Premier League Football - on the massive, multiple large screens dotted around the place.

If you're partial to a game of pool then you can take advantage of one of the many pool tables which are always available - and if you're feeling particularly competitive then you can take part in their weekly pool tournaments every Sunday from 7pm.

And for the serious, dedicated, hardcore party-goer, or stag or hen parties and sports teams looking for a raucous, fun-filled all nighter, Pranj's is open until 3am and regularly features some of the best DJs in town, and there are VIP areas for those who feel like indulging in some extra special luxury treatment and being pampered in style for the night.

After a long period of consultation and consideration, Pranj's can now add an impressive food menu to its roster of accomplishments to keep the fun-craving, party-going, sports-loving Bristol masses happy.

The venue has recently extended its opening hours and now kicks off business from 11am, so you get your day off to a hearty and filling start with one of its belt-loosening All Day Breakfasts (£5.95), which includes the satisfyingly tasty combo of sausages, bacon, has brown, beans, mushrooms and toast.

The new menu includes an impressive range very reasonably priced gastronomic offerings too. With a newly fitted professional kitchen, Pranj's can now confidently take on and serve up some of the best, staple traditional pub classics such as a range of burgers, sharing platters, hot dogs and 9" stone baked pizzas.

Next time I go I will definitely be trying the Wors Roll - a tradition South African sausage combining mince beef, pork and a combination of spices - sounded so good I'll have to make a return visit to see if it tastes as awesome as it sounds.

A starter of nachos served with sour cream, salsa, guacamole and melted cheese (£4.95) was as good as any I've tasted, the crunchy, salty nachos slathered in generous dollops of its toppings and fusing to create a divine, unctuous version of this classic starter staple.

My chilli burger (£7.50) - a burger topped with chilli con carne and cheese and served with fries - was a true testament to heavenly meaty magnificence. The burger was at least an inch thick and consummately cooked to retain its moist, juicy, smokily exquisite meaty flavour, while the chilli con carne was arrestingly piquant and zingy, and the fries perfectly thin, crispy and adequately salted.

Opting for the bacon burger (£8.00) - comprising classic burger, bacon and cheese - my dining partner found it was similarly faultless, the burger equally well cooked and sublime, the bacon nice and crispy, and the cheese enshrouding the bun-encased package for an endless succession of deliriously delicious bites.

There's nothing groundbreaking here, but what Pranj's does is offer simple pub grub done extremely competently and well, and with food as good and undeniably filling as this you'll definitely want to go back for more. Fitting then, that you can take advantage of their special membership card which gives you a mouthwatering and thirst-quenching 20% off all food and drink all day.

Buzzy, lively, crackling with party-going energy and atmosphere and staffed by enthusiastic, affable bar people, Pranj's is unquestionably the hot spot venue to head to if you're looking for first-class food, drink, tunes, sports and everything you could possibly want that makes for an unforgettable, fun night out.
