Unlike past experiences where a barber either doesn?t ask for input whatsoever or they rail road you into what they?re most comfortable, Andy struck the balance nicely by consulting at timely intervals.
When we at 365 Bristol heard of the opening of a new men's salon in Henleaze, we just had to check it out, so we sent Ian Cassley down there for a review!
It’s said that the average person keeps the same hairdresser/ stylist/ barber for 12 years while the average marriage these days’ only lasts 11 years! I can understand this, as there is a healthy dose of trust involved in selecting the right business, environment and hairdresser to spend your hard-earned with on a regular basis!
If first impressions are anything to go by then Pamperbananaman, a new men’s luxury grooming and barbering salon located at 41 Henleaze Road, Bristol, BS9 4JU is a winner! This exclusive barbering lounge radiates quality with a neutral, yet well-designed and eye-catching salon.
I received a warm welcome by a friendly team who promptly offered me a choice of refreshments whilst I took a seat and immediately began to relax. Andy, a Tom Hiddleston lookalikey, introduced himself as my barber and he set about restyling my bonnet.
Credit to Andy, he asked for my preference and offered advice on neck tapering, side-burns styling and how I intended to use products going forward. Unlike past experiences where a barber either doesn’t ask for input whatsoever or they rail road you into what they’re most comfortable with by telling you that ‘its what suits your shape head mate’, Andy struck the balance nicely by consulting at timely intervals.
After a flash of the hand held mirror to showcase his work, I was certainly pleased with the result and would recommend his barbering to friends.
No sooner had I finished in the chair, I was lead through to the immaculately finished and subtly lit treatment rooms where I was introduced to my masseuse, Rhyanah. I was asked about any injuries and whether I preferred a light or sports style massage, before she started the Muscle Melting Massage.
As a great believer in the benefits of body treatments and their ability to re-energise, and rebalance the body, Rhyanah’s method is up there with some of the best therapists I’ve been lucky enough to encounter. I quickly fell into a meditative state, allowing the daily stresses and strains to subside.
During the treatment, knots were identified near my shoulder blades and instead of tiptoeing around the issue, the trigger points were challenged to relieve the tension and free up the movement. A round of golf a couple of days later was all the more rewarding as a result!
In summary, this new metro spa in Henleaze is the perfect retreat for men who value their general wellbeing and are ready to invest in themselves to ensure they look, and feel good!
