While it lashed down with rain outside, we were lucky enough to indulge in Bristol's only (and brand-spanking new) Clip n Climb indoor climbing facility. And it didn't disappoint.

The kids couldn't contain their excitement at seeing the colourful array of climbing structures just waiting to be scaled. I too was encouraged to have a go, which I did under the careful instruction and patient guidance of the team. Unbeknown to me the first wall I chose (The Inflatable) was a particularly tough one! All the kids took to the challenges like ducks to water; I took a little while to warm up but that's probably my age. After 3 walls and an increase in confidence, I was ready to take on my middle (and most sporty) child on the Face to Face - a Perspex see-through climbing wall. Needless to say he made me look positively sloth-like as he made it to the top at an impressive speed.

Clip 'n Climb in Bristol - Fun for kids and adults too!

My eldest loved the challenge of climbing in half-light in The Dark Tower whilst the youngest stuck at The Big Cheese until she eventually made it to the top!

The team of instructors were so helpful, friendly and encouraging - which was much needed when the youngest decided to look down whilst nearing the summit of The Orbit.

I'm really glad I launched myself into it but there is the option to sit, relax and drink coffee on comfy sofas and let the young-guns do all the work!

It's always a good sign when the kids are asking to go back before they've even left the building. We will definitely be paying Clip n Climb another visit soon.

5/5
