I can’t describe how happy I was with the overall results. This was something that I had thought about for some time, and following the very informational and accurate aftercare advice, I couldn’t have been happier with my overall experience at AP..

Not being someone very well immersed in the art of tattooing, but very interested in art, I recently decided, after a long time of deciding, that I indeed wanted to take the plunge and get inked. I’m pretty OCD about most things in my life, so deciding who I wanted to tattoo me was a big choice. This choice was made so easily when I headed over to AP Tattooing.

AP Tattoo review

I had been wanting to get two tattoos for quite some time but had always said that I wanted the right place and person to go to so that I could be certain I was going to get what I wanted. Admittedly, I had shopped around Bristol for quite some, endeavoring to find a place that I could immediately trust, and somebody that knew exactly what they were doing. Sadly, I couldn’t find anything in Bristol that I thought was up to standard after consultations (I told you I was OCD about this kind of thing). I thought all hope was gone until I walked through the doors of AP Tattooing.

A relaxing place for your next tattoo

When I first sat down with the guys at AP, I was immediately welcomed, something I felt was lacking from the other places I had visited. I was offered a drink and an informal chat about exactly what I had in my head, regarding design ideas. Andras, the resident tattooist at AP was more than accommodating when I showed him the original geometric and line-worked designs I wanted. He offered helpful insight and tips to make the design process a breeze. When I left I felt confident that I had both a tattooist and a local business, that I could contact any queries.

AP Tattooing hard at work

One, of the many, reasons I was so impressed by AP was there relaxed approach to tattooing. I had to cancel my Thursday appointment with them due to other commitments, and they were more than happy to make another slot available without any hesitation. I was grateful and they fitted me into the next available slot, which just so happened to a cancellation the next day.

A very clean and comfortable studio at AP Tattoo

When I arrived, I was greeted by Andras, we went over the agreed designs on my inner arm and hip had a quick chat and a bit of a laugh and got one with it. I was advised to bring some food with me and to eat plenty beforehand. With all my food eaten, and happy with the designs placement and final finish it was time to get inked.

I can imagine getting a tattoo is a daunting experience for some people, but I felt at home at AP tattooing. The option of taking your mind off the experience by watching Netflix is a great touch, however, I found it easier to banter with Andras. Finding out about his 10+ years of tattooing experience settled me, along with having a few chuckles in-between.

Incredibly impressed with the end result of my first tattoo

Having suffered through the pain for 2 hours I was finally done. I was shocked at how much attention to detail was put into every line, and you can see the experience shining through at AP. I can’t describe how happy I was with the overall results. This was something that I had thought about for some time, and following the very informational and accurate aftercare advice, I couldn’t have been happier with my overall experience at AP Tattooing.

And even more impressed with my second bit of ink-age!

This may not be the oldest, biggest or flashiest of Tattoo and piercing parlors in Bristol, but a competitive price, friendly, experienced staff, and quality work will have people flocking to this tattooing hot-spot in no time.
