The Last Days of Judas Iscariot at Redgrave Theatre in Bristol from 11-13 Sept

The Last Days of Judas Iscariot at Redgrave Theatre in Bristol from Tuesday 11th September to Thursday 13th September 2018

Judas Iscariot betrayed his friend and teacher Jesus of Nazareth, to be executed by the Romans. Fact. But was the story as simple as that? After Jesus was crucified, Judas fell into despair and hung himself from an olive tree before being sent to the depths of Hell for all eternity. So was Judas the back stabbing master of his own fate? Or a simple pawn used to advance the popularity of Christianity? Or maybe just a man who made a mistake? This is your chance to decide.

Set in a courtroom in the backstreets of downtown Purgatory, The Last Days of Judas Iscariot is a hilarious, riotous, piercing drama where witnesses as diverse as Satan, Mother Theresa and Sigmund Freud are called to give evidence. This side splitting, irreverent trial will make the inhabitants of Heaven, Hell and the audience, reconsider what each thought they knew about forgiveness, faith and the man who became the most infamous traitor in history. The audience can then vote to decide who they believe was ultimately responsible for the death of The Messiah.
