Stewart Lee at The Colston Hall in Bristol from Sunday 8 - Monday 9 October 2017

Stewart Lee will perform at The Colston Hall in Bristol from Sunday 8 - Monday 9 October 2017.

After four years writing and performing his TV show Stewart Lee’s Comedy Vehicle, Content Provider is Stewart’s first brand new full-length show since the award-winning Carpet Remnant World.

“The most consistently funny show of his brilliant career … I laughed till it hurt.” – The Times

“Characteristically twisty and frequently brilliant”  – The Guardian

Stewart Lee is a generally considered to be a master of anti-populist comedy. Indeed, he certainly pulls no punches about what he thinks about the current big hitters of the scene, pouring vitriolic scorn on many of them as part of his own shows. Consequently The Times has described him as “the comedian’s comedian, and for good reason”.

Lee came to prominence in the mid-‘90s with comedy partner, Richard Herring, after appearing together at the Edinburgh Festival in 1987. The pair went on to work alongside other alternative comedy figures such as Armando Iannucci and Rebecca Front, before becoming cult comedy heroes as a result of the BBC 2 series, Fist Of Fun and This Morning With Richard Not Judy. Lee co-wrote and co-directed Jerry Springer: The Opera, which eventually became a West-End smash.
