Scott Bradlee at Colston hall in Bristol on Friday 16th February 2018

Scott Bradlee and his Postmodern Jukebox can justifiably be called YouTube sensations, with their vintage re-imaginings of hits like Miley Cyrus’s ‘We Can’t Stop’, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis’ ‘Thrift Shop’, and Sam Smith’s ‘Stay With Me’, rendered as if they were written 70 years ago or more. After studying Jazz at University of Hartford, Bradlee took to YouTube to publish his experiments. He put out a video of his ragtime reworking of an 80’s medley. The author Neil Gaiman saw it and decided to retweet it to his following, and the rest is history.

Since then Bradlee and his Jukebox have appeared on Good Morning America and NPR, and released many more reworked songs, including a version of Meghan Trainor’s ‘All About That Bass’ and Lorde’s ‘Royals’ featuring Puddles the Clown.
