This is possibly the most exciting thing that has happened to anyone, ever.

The Fleece is hosting a special pub quiz on Wednesday 13th September, where all questions will be based on the epoch-defining comedy classic Peep Show.

Peep Show quiz

Do you know your Mama’s Kumquat from your Danny Dyer’s Chocolate Homunculus?

Are you familiar with the version of Windows used by Alan Johnson?

And could you name the band who is widely-regarded to have nicked Jeremy and Super Hans’s sound?

If you know the answers to some/all of the above, then boy do we have a quiz for you! On Wednesday 13th September, Bristol’s knowledge of the El Dude Brothers’ chronicles will be put to the test when the Peep Show pub quiz hits The Fleece.

Peep Show

The primary progeny of the ever-fertile partnership between David Mitchell and Robert Webb, Peep Show ran for nine series between 2003 and 2015 and remains the longest running comedy in Channel 4 history. Following the lives of flatmates Mark and Jeremy, the show made for an infinitesimally accurate portrait of new-millennial London, with many of its blackly comic moments of genius remaining achingly accurate today.

Whilst only ever garnering modest commercial success, the cult popularity of the show is impossible to overstate. And like all cult followings, it has attracted some omniscient fans.

Expect to see legions of these turn out at The Fleece on the 13th of next month, where the most zealous will compete for prizes and unknowable Peep Show glory.

As you might expect, places for this one will be in very high demand, so prompt booking is advised. Tables for a team of six people are available for £20.

The Peep Show pub quiz will take place at The Fleece on Wednesday 13th September, with doors opening at 19.30. For more information about the event, check it out on Facebook
