Shaffer Chimere Smith, better known as Ne-Yo, is an American R&B singer, songwriter, record producer, dancer, and actor. He was offered a recording contract by Def Jam after being recognised for his songwriting abilities in the 2004 hit, “Let Me Love You” for singer Mario and has had number one singles across the US & the UK.

 

The “best dressed, best behaved … heir to the Rat Pack’s dapper legacy” (Pitchfork) performs material from his considerable back catalogue. Ne-Yo “crooned his way into the hearts and minds of rhythm and blues fans worldwide”(HipHopDX) with the release of In My Own Words in 2016. Singles So Sick, Because of You, Closer, Miss Independent and Let Me Love You showed off his “Michael Jackson-like falsetto and rich tenor” (The Guardian). He performs following the release of 2015’s Non-Fiction.
