National Children’s Orchestras of Great Britain at Colston Hall on 8 April 2017

National Children’s Orchestras of Great Britain will be there at Colston Hall in Bristol on Saturday 8 April 2017

Established in 1978, The National Children’s Orchestras is Great Britain’s premier symphony orchestra for children, and offers life-changing experiences with training from top professional musicians. The NCO has six national age-banded orchestras, open to children from 7-13 years old, as well as six regional orchestras. It has built up an international reputation as an outstanding orchestra whose maturity belies the age of its members.

The NCO has performed in a wide variety of concert venues, from the Royal Albert Hall in London to the Forbidden City Concert Hall in Beijing. Famous alumni include Nicola Benedetti, the 2000 Winner of the BBC Young Musician of the Year Competition, Guy Johnston, as well as the Principal Conductor of the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, Robin Ticciati, and the internationally-acclaimed conductor, Daniel Harding.
