Mini Moon Festival featuring Fifi Rong and Makala Cheung

Mini Moon Fest: Far East Meets West will play at O2 Academy in Bristol on Sunday 1st October 2017

Support: Makala Cheung (Empress album launch - BBC Radio 1Xtra / Introducing)

 

Fifi Rong incorporates a wide range of genres such as Electronica, Pop, Dub, Hip Hop, Soundscape and Jazz, nuanced with the flair of her Chinese heritage.

Makala Cheung makes electronic pop with a Chinese twist and urban influences.

More performances include: Movema (world dance fusion), GKR Karate, Bristol Shaolin Wushu Academy, Chinese Lion Dance, Angels Dance Academy (Home to National and World Hip Hop Championship dance groups such as Dark Angels), Ethereal, DJ Belakia (Asian Hip Hop + K/J-pop), Simon B (from Guangzhou Underground), Streetenvy Dance & Fitness Academy.

There will also be stalls such as origami from Smiley Origami, calligraphy from Bristol & West of England China Bureau, manga & comics from Crown Root Publications and Bath Manga Society, plus more including lantern making and dumplings for sale.

The event comes in time for China's Mid-Autumn festival - celebrating the moon, harvest, family and friendship.
