Mike and The Mechanics at Colston Hall in Bristol on 1 March 2017

Mike and The Mechanics are coming to you on Wednesday 1 March 2017 at Colston Hall in Bristol.

Mike and the Mechanics came into existence as a side project for Mike Rutherford, this group has Rutherford, Paul Carrack (Roxy Music, Squeeze), on keyboard you have Adrian Lee (Cliff Richard, Toyah), on drum it is Peter Van Hooke (Van Morrison) and last but not the least on vocals we have Paul Young (Sad Café). They have a ground breaking sales record, which touches the figure of 10 million, with tracks like ‘All I Need Is a Miracle’, ‘Over My Shoulder’, ‘The Living Years’, ‘Word of Mouth’ and ‘Silent Running (On Dangerous Ground).

Two members Hooke and Lee had the leave the band in 1995, and in 2000 Paul Young also died. Such events made audience think that it is the end of the band. But in 2010, Rutherford gave the band a new form with new musicians and a new format where two vocalist are there Andrew Roachford and Tim Howar. Now they are here continuing their tour.
